A SIMPLE 3-STEP PROCESS

PROCESS RAMP 200

RAMP tests are quantitative immunochromatographic tests for the determination of specific biomarkers in EDTA whole blood.

EDTA whole blood is mixed with buffer and fluorescent particles coated with specific antibodies that bind to the biomarker being tested, if present in the sample.

The sample is inserted into the test cartridge, the red blood cells are retained in the sample pad, and the separated plasma migrates along the strip.

Biomarker-bound particles are captured at the detection zone and excess particles are captured at the control zone.

The RAMP instrument then measures the amount of fluorescence at the detection zone and at the control zone, then using a ratio between the two fluorescence values, a quantitative reading is calculated.
